I'm Mark O'Brien from Cegal. I'm the director of the geoscience software portfolio. A portfolio which now includes Avary, an innovative new piece of software. We're proud to have developed in collaboration with Aker PB over recent years. Geophysical prospect derisking workflows traditionally involve lots of heavy data, lots of heavy processing distributed across multiple software applications iterating on the processes within the workflow becomes a very time consuming and costly exercise bound by the transfer of data between the applications. My name is Øyvind Kjøsnes and I am the initiator and architect behind Avery in BP. My role within Aker BP is I'm a lead geophysicist with more than 15 years of experience from exploration and production where my specialities have been focused around quantitative seismic reservoir characterization predominantly focusing on the areas of seismic inversion and machine learning methods. We saw over the the years that the size of the seismic data was growing and reaching much bigger sizes than what it used to and we also had that challenge with softwares not being able to to deliver within time frame, the legacy softwares and as part of that we realized that we need a new piece of technology that can take us from what the contractors are delivering to our final product which is risked prospect analysis or a reservoir characterization in the production settings. Avary was designed to reimagine this heavy data, heavy compute workflow into an interactive lightweight experience from which a higher frequency of seismic analysis can be made. Avary is a next generation software solution that allows you to go from input seismic data to analyse seismic data and subsurface understanding of the highest quality as fast as possible through various optimization both in algorithmic and use of hardware aspects to the final results without discarding the quality. It's the highest quality as fast as we can do it. Within a time frame that allows us to come with impact understanding and data driven subsurface analysis to the table where and when it matters for the decision making. So the the solution that we landed at allows us to to produce not only quick results but results of super high quality on this ever growing data. So bringing the understanding to the decision table when and where it matters. Avary is composed of numerous 3D and 40 partial angle stack analysis processes including seismic data conditioning, relative phase balance bandwidth matching and time alignment, intersect gradient and kai, acquisition footprint removal, destriping processes, denoising processes, spectrum decomposition and seismic conversion. So this is something that's very unique to to Avary and the mindset of Avary is that you can cascade all the way back if necessary or two steps back or go wherever you want in the workflow. Change the parameter instantly see the effect and the update on the products that you bring on into the rest of our characterization. It was clear that the competence and experience within Cegal was unique to tackle our problem, just performance and quality. The collaboration between Sigal and Aker BP has been a very constructive and effective one and we experienced that the quality of the work from Sigal has been very high. It has been a very successful collaboration and it has been a key success factory in in the overall Avery is all about getting the highest quality results in the least amount of time without any sacrifice inequality. So also on the road map for Avery we're currently adding in support for 4D data we will be supporting opens we will be integrating having a full integration of of Python developing a dynamic AVO classification tool and also transposing the Odyssey inversion workload from patrol into a free. Avary to to me has definitely been a game changer in the way I work and in the way I think doing all the parameter optimization interactively in a way that was never possible until now. In addition to to being highly flexible and dynamic in the way we test and set up workflows. We are also able to produce the highest quality at record speeds.
