In this episode of The Journey to Oracle Cloud we discuss the high level approach for the project.
Hi guys! The Journey to Oracle Cloud continues for this no name customer. In today's episode I thought we would go through the high level approach for the project. As always, leave a comment contact us if you want us to elaborate on any subject but for now let's go talk to Svetlana Schalander, the project lead for the project and Ajit Hegde the Cloud Architect. Okay so Lana, could you briefly present the phases in the project? Yes absolutely, so for this project we have five different phases the very first one is Discovery and Analyze then Cloud readiness then comes Cloud migration. The next is Testing and Training and the last but not least is going live. So we have completed already Discovery and Analyze phase, we were working in different workshops and then we came to cloud readiness which we split it into six different sub tracks and there we are focusing on different components in the small groups where we can really focus on our sub tracks. Great, so how is the project going? It's going very well we have very good communication between our team and the customer, and we have a very high knowledge in our team so I think everything is going very well. Super, Ajit I guess, I mean the Cloud is evolving throughout the phases could you elaborate a bit on that? Yes it is, I will highlight on two factors, number one this customer so current solution is quite old, which means the preparation they need to do to move to Cloud is also more, that is where the Cloud readiness that we call the environment, see it as a bridge between On-prem and Cloud becomes necessary. And while this bridge is being built we are also working in parallel to define these Cloud blueprint This way we are working very closely with the customer defining their target architecture, and we are in the final stages of that. Super, I think that is all for now guys. Keep up the good work and talk to you later bye bye!
