Hi guys, Rafael here! The Journey to Oracle Cloud continues for this customer, we are moving Oracle assets from On-premise to the Cloud and right now it's full speed ahead in the project and everything is actually going really really well. But before we even started the project off course we helped the customer in understanding the business case, the return on investment and how to actually do a predictable calculation on that. So I thought we would dedicate this episode to discuss that, so with me now we have Christian Skytt from our organisation in Denmark and Lucas Almqvist from Sweden. Okay, Christian and Lucas nice to have you with me! I'll start by asking Christian, could you elaborate a little bit on how you are helping our customers on understanding the return on investment and business case for moving to the cloud? Yes, we actually developed a model for calculating the cost both the current and the future cost and I think one of the benefits of actually moving to the cloud is that the cost is quite transparent so it is easy to do the cost side of the calculation. Okay cool, and any rule of thumb you want to share? I share from my many experience with clients, I think we have two rule of thumbs that we have seen so far. One thing is where you have your support stream in your On-premise if you calculate that I think you take the same sum and move it to Oracle Cloud, then you get both software support line, services, but also all the hardware and infrastructure, you need to run the services. One rule of thumb is that it is free to have so the network and hardware is free in Oracle Cloud. The other rule of thumb is probably a bit longer term before you see the benefits, but when you are in a cloud service it is so much easier to actually spin up new services, test new services, that is sometimes just a matter of minutes or hours to get the new service up and running and you only pay for the amount that you are actually using Then you spin it down compared to when you have to use Capex to actually test something new. Yeah, I mean that's a great benefit with the cloud. So, over to you Lucas, could you just in brief tell us about the current cost models for Oracle Cloud, in this case? Off course I can Rafael. There is three models, first one is "Pay as you go", where customers paying for what they actually use. They get a monthly bill, the second one is "Bring your own license" model meaning that customer can reuse their already existing support stream, move that to the Cloud to consume Cloud. And the third one is "Annual flex" meaning that you can under one contract get access to all the Oracle platform services within Oracle's portfolio. And we can off course help the customers to guide them into what is the right contracts. Okay, cool, thank you guys! And for the audience, if you have any questions you want us to elaborate on, just leave a comment or contact us. Thank you! Bye bye guys!
